Former City Councilman and Business CEO Committed to Fort Mitchell
Ft. Mitchell, KY—Former Fort Mitchell City Councilman and Furlong CEO, Jude Hehman announced today that he has filed to run for mayor in the November election. Hehman is a lifelong resident of the city, was the youngest person to be elected to the City Council at age 21, and went on to serve for five terms for 10 years.
Jude Hehman is a community and business leader who will bring a pragmatic, hands-on approach to leading the city. “We have a great city that I am committed to serving, and I have a vision and goals for the city government to make it better,” says Jude Hehman. “We can do better at increasing ethical governance, accountability and transparency, and by strengthening our fire and police departments and first responders. We must work as partners with our schools, small businesses and neighborhoods to listen to their needs, concerns and suggestions of what we can do better. I look forward to talking with voters in the coming months and working to restore their faith in local government.”

A graduate of Blessed Sacrament, Beechwood High School, Hehman received his college education at Thomas More College and Northern Kentucky University. A life-long resident of the Fort Mitchell community, Jude Hehman is involved with charitable organizations and the Northern Kentucky Business Community. Hehman and his partner Pete Nicolaou, founded Furlong Building Enterprises in 2010, at the height of the construction and real estate industry recession, and today it is a $6 million company with 11 employees. His company has received numerous awards for its explosive growth and impressive customer list, including the Tri-State Success Awards two years in a row, was named to the Fast 55 list of fastest growing companies. Last fall Jude Hehman was named to the exclusive Business Courier’s list of young leaders, Forty Under 40 Award.
Jude Hehman is active at Blessed Sacrament School and Church, and has served on the board of Redwood School and the Holy Cross Parish Finance Committee. He coaches soccer at Blessed Sacrament School and has served in various capacities with Welcome House and the Northern KY Cold Shelter. Jude was a member of the 2011 Leadership Northern Kentucky class and is active with the Northern KY Chamber of Commerce.
