Jude Hehman comes for a large Catholic family with deep roots in Fort Mitchell and Northern Kentucky. He grew up in a loving family with eight siblings and his parents, Clare Haas Hehman and Paul Hehman. Jude’s mother grew up in Fort Mitchell on Dixie Highway and attended Blessed Sacrament. Jude learned the values of hard work, community service and faith from his parents. Jude’s father was a successful entrepreneur and passed his business skills onto his son.
Jude’s family has a long history of service to the City of Fort Mitchell. Four of Jude’s brothers have served on the Fort Mitchell Fire Department and Life Squad. Jude’s oldest brother Matt served for 12 years as a Fort Mitchell City Council member before he passed away at the age of 38. His brother’s service inspired Jude to run for City Council a couple of years later at the young age of 21.
Jude married his sweetheart Katie Thorp Hehman in 2001 and the couple has four children–Matthew, Abby, Emily and Mitchell, named after the great city of Fort Mitchell.
Jude has volunteered as a coach and helped out with programs and teams including volleyball, soccer and Spartan Football. More recently, Jude served as a coach for his youngest daughter Emily’s Blessed Sacrament soccer team
